Aligning Public Policy and Shareholder Engagement

In his new role, Ethan Tyler will continue leading Aleut’s public policy strategy and land management efforts, while adding shareholder services. The expanded responsibilities reflect the natural connection between shareholder priorities, public policy advocacy, and stewardship of Aleut’s lands and resources, creating a more coordinated approach.

Tyler has been instrumental in advancing Aleut’s policy priorities, strengthening regional partnerships, and elevating issues important to the Aleut Region. His work has advanced efforts related to Adak redevelopment, the King Cove Road project, regional energy development, and other initiatives that support long-term economic opportunity and community well-being. His strategic leadership and commitment to Aleut’s mission made this expanded role a natural progression.

“Aleut’s mission has always been what motivates me,” said Tyler. “Having spent most of my career in the Alaska Native corporation system, I care deeply about protecting the rights promised under ANCSA and ensuring Alaska Native voices are heard. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our communities and supporting the long-term strength of our Region.”

Building Operational Capacity for Future Growth

As Vice President of Operations & Support Services, Theresa Cross leads performance across four of Aleut’s Alaska-based subsidiaries while continuing oversight of key internal functions, including Administration and IT services.

Cross has played a pivotal role in Aleut’s operational foundation through initiatives that improve efficiency, accountability, and collaboration across the organization. Her ability to align people, processes, and systems with business goals has positioned Aleut for continued success, and this expanded leadership role is a natural next step.

“At the core of my leadership philosophy is a simple belief: when people are given clarity, the right tools, and trust, they will exceed expectations—including their own,” said Cross. “What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to bring strategy, operations, and support services together in a way that helps people succeed, strengthens the corporation, and prepares Aleut for the future.”
