Nora Leah Collins was born July 27, 1977, in Anchorage, AK. She grew up in Sand Point, AK, in a loving household with parents Shirley and Jim Brown, and siblings Julia, PJ, and Barret. Nora was active in high school sports like basketball and volleyball, where she traveled across the state competing. She graduated high school in 1995 as salutatorian, and went off to college at UAF in Fairbanks, AK, where she earned her BA in Accounting and later received her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.

Nora made her home in Anchorage, AK, where she raised her daughter Vega Jolene Britt, who was her greatest accomplishment. She was involved in many activities over the years with family and friends, such as bowling in the winter and softball in the summer. On September 21, 2024, Nora married her soulmate, Bryon Collins. She and Bryon had an active social life surrounded by family and friends. They enjoyed shuffleboard and billiards and loved to stay active in their communities.

Nora is remembered by those who loved her as amazing, thoughtful, selfless, sweet, and an all-around awesome person. She entered eternal rest on March 4, 2026, in Anchorage, AK, surrounded by the love of her family. Until we meet again, may her memory remain eternal. Nora is survived by her soulmate and husband Bryon Collins, daughter Vega (Leo) Britt, parents Shirley and Jim Brown, sister Julia (Rob) Tripp, brothers PJ (Arika) and Barret (Kristina) Brown, nephews Troy Bousley and Rowdy Tripp, and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
