New Facility Marks Milestone in Aleut Ventures’ $1.25 Million Investment in Cold Bay to Strengthen Regional Aviation Infrastructure
COLD BAY, Alaska — Aleut Ventures celebrated the grand opening of a new Fixed-Base Operation (FBO) at the Cold Bay Airport (PACD) in Cold Bay, AK, this September, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in Cold Bay and its commitment to strengthening infrastructure in the Aleut region. The FBO is part of Aleut Ventures’ broader $1.25 million investment in Cold Bay, which includes infrastructure improvements and expanded aviation support services.

Frosty Fuels’ new FBO enhances the Cold Bay Airport’s ability to support commercial, cargo, charter, medevac, military, government, and regional aviation operations. Services and amenities at the FBO include a crew lounge, passenger waiting area, Ground Power Unit (GPU) services, deicing capabilities, vehicle rental options, lodging accommodations, and 24/7 call-out support.
Aleut’s investment in the Cold Bay Airport complements existing airport infrastructure, including Cold Bay Airport’s 10,180-foot runway and other Frosty Fuels services, including year-round operations and significant aviation fuel availability. Together, these investments position Cold Bay to be an important asset for transportation networks across Alaska and the greater North Pacific region.
