The Board
of Directors and the staff of The Aleut Corporation
would like to extend their sincere condolences to the
family and friends of the following shareholders and
their descendents who have recently passed away.
Capt. George
Gronholdt, 86, died May 9, 2007, in Seattle,
WA. He was born September 7,1920, in Sand Point, AK.
His wife Mildred M. Gronholdt preceded George in death.
George was the youngest of eight born to Niels and Anna
Gronholdt.
George is survived by his son Dennis
G. Gronholdt and wife Merrilou of Auburn, WA; daughters
Andrea of Tacoma, WA, Tina Potter of Salt Lake City,
UT and her husband Marvin; grandson Dennis G. Gronholdt,
Jr. and his wife Amy; and great grandchildren Madison
and Emma of Puyallup, WA.
George will be remembered for his work
in the maritime industry, his forever positive and cheerful
attitude towards his family and friends, and his love
for animals and wildlife. He will be deeply missed by
all those who came to know his kind and gentle personality.
Remembrances may be sent to the King County Humane Society.

late George Gronholdt for not printing this sooner.
Dale A. Yatchmeneff,
43, died at sea near False Pass on June 16, 2007. Dale
was born in False Pass on Oct. 23, 1963 to Peter and
Margie Yatchmeneff. His family wrote, “Dale had
been a commercial fisherman since he was 12 years old
and was always a hard worker. Dale was always there
to lend a hand if needed. We will miss him very much.”
He is survived by his parents Peter
and Margie Yatchmeneff of False Pass; daughters Tina
Newman of Anchorage and Jamie Yatchmeneff of False Pass;
grandchildren Jeremiah Balamoutoff, Damian Balamoutoff,
Julianna Kuzakin and Johnny Balamoutoff; aunts Florence
Samuelson of King Cove and Mary Gunderson of Sand Point;
uncle Henry Ferguson of Anchorage; and numerous cousins
in Anchorage, King Cove, Sand Point and False Pass.
Nick “Nik-Nik”
Kenezuroff, Jr., 38, died in King Cove on July
1, 2007. Nik-Nik was born in King Cove on December 3,
1968. He was a 1986 graduate of King Cove High School
and was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church.
His family wrote, “Nik-Nik will
be greatly missed by all who knew him. Nik-Nik had the
biggest heart and helped everyone without hesitation.
He was a lifelong commercial fisherman who worked for
many captains and gained the respect of them all. He
was a hard worker--he put his heart and soul into whatever
he did. His family, niece and nephews meant the world
to him.
Nik-Nik also enjoyed hunting, fishing,
reading and drawing. His family will always remember
his infectious laugh, caring nature and generosity.”
Survivors include his mother and stepfather,
Sheila and Sava Nevzuroff of Anchorage; father Nick
J. Kenezuroff of Washington; sister and brother-in-law
Sarah J. and Nick Nelson of Port Lions; brothers Sava
Nevzuroff III and Nathan Nevzuroff of Anchorage; nephews
Gunnar and George of Port Lions; niece Alexandra of
Port Lions; and many more aunts, uncles and family members.
