Chair's Report
June 2007
For over a year, TAC had
been functioning without a CEO. This deficit presented
a stressful situation for the Board, and required that
Board time and efforts be directed at searching for
the right individual to fill this role. As we reported
in our last newsletter, Troy Johnson joined TAC in filling
the vacant CEO position. Troy’s presence at the
Board meeting last month lifted a burden as the Board
welcomed Troy’s oversight of TAC’s operational
activities. The Board members can now turn their focus
to developing and expanding the TAC vision.
The May Board meeting presented refreshing
new beginnings. The Board is pleased to report that
Thomas Mack’s contract has been extended and that
he will continue to serve TAC in the role of president.
Additionally, Troy Johnson joined us for his first board
meeting in his new role as CEO. Working with Troy in
this capacity has allowed the board to get to know him
on both a personal and professional level. This resulted
in some very positive team building opportunities for
Troy and the board.
Troy is confident in his new role and
we are pleased to have Troy in the driver’s seat
handling the day-to-day operations. Our team is now
complete with Thomas Mack as President and Troy Johnson
as CEO. The board is confident in their new team. Troy
and Thomas’ collaboration is an exciting change
in our corporate governance.
I would like to also inform shareholders
that the FY05 bonus has been brought to resolution this
spring and payout of this bonus to the staff of TAC
occurred in late May. The TAC staff and board can now
move forward with new beginnings as we put this issue
behind us.
On behalf of the board of directors,
we wish everyone a wonderful summer season. If you have
any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact
us through the corporation. We look forward to hearing
from you.
