The Aleut Foundation in partnership with the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association, held its annual picnic on July 17th. 2007.

This year was a special one for the foundation as we celebrated our 20th Anniversary! The theme for the picnic was

"The journey brings its own reward."

The foundation handed out tee shirts to all picnic goers along with water bottles to all the kids and fleece jackets to our respected Aleut Elders. This picnic was attended by over 300 shareholders and family members, the largest since we started hosting picnics. Thank you all who brought a dish to share!! We could not have pulled off such a successful event without our beloved volunteers.

The Aleut Corporation donated many door prizes for the event. This year was a little different, as we wanted to accommodate our working shareholders. We had everyone write their name and number on their ticket (everyone was eligible for a prize) as opposed to having to be present to win. This made the door prizes open to everyone.
