Sharon Guenther Lind
Chair Sharon Guenther Lind was born and raised in Kenai, Alaska to Bob and Angelina (Snigaroff) Guenther.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management and a minor in mathematics at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. She acquired her masters in business administration at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Sharon and her husband Fred live in Anchorage.
Her past experience includes holding the positions of Director of Shareholder Affairs at the Aleut Corporation, President of The Aleut Foundation, Vice-President of Operations and Eduacation at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, and Public Information Officer at the Denali Commission. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Sharon is ex-offico on all Board Committees. Her term expires in 2018.
Vice President Dick Jacobsen was born in Squaw Harbor, Alaska and raised and attended school in Sand Point. He attended Sheldon Jackson and later obtained his Commercial Pilot’s license in Seattle. He resides in Sand Point with his wife Edee.
Dick entered public service by helping local fishermen organize the Peninsula Marketing Association and served as President (1967-1980). Dick served the Shumagin Corporation as a Director (1976-1991) and as President (1980-1991). Other public services include membership on the Sand Point City School Board, City Council, Alaska Board of Fish, Advisory Board of International North Pacific Fisheries Management Council, Gulf of Alaska Coastal Communities Coalition, and the Alaska Marine Transportation Advisory Board.
His term expires in 2018.
Vice Chair Jenifer Samuelson-Nelson was raised in King Cove, Alaska and currently lives in Anchorage with her husband Allan Nelson and their twin daughters.
Jenifer graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After graduating, she became a financial advisor for American Express.
Aleut Corporation Director; 2008-present; Served on the Shareholder Affairs Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Board Policy Committee and the CEO Search Committee. The Aleut Foundation, Executive Director, 2004-2005. formal Social Enterprise Operations Manager for Cook Inlet Tribal Council, 2010-2013. She is currently the Rural Marketing Manager for GCI Communications.
Her term expires 2017.
Director Tara L. Bourdukofsky was born in San Francisco, California, raised on St. Paul Island, Alaska, and now resides in Anchorage, Alaska.
She has a master’s of science in counseling psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Tara is presently the Human Services Director at Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Association.
Aleut Corporation Director; 2002-present; has served as the Chair for the Policy Committee, Budget and Finance Committee and Shareholder Affairs Committee, and a member of the CEO Search and President Hire Committee. Currently she serves on the Land, Resource and Real Estate and Policy Committees.
In 2003-2004, she served as Vice-President of TAC Board of Directors and as TAC’s representative for The Aleut Foundation (TAF) Board. In 2004-2005, she served as TAC’s Vice-Chair and was appointed to the Alaska Trust Company board. In 2005-2006, she served as TAC’s Secretary/Treasurer and TAF’s Chair of the Board.
Her term expires in 2017.
Dr. Gary Ferguson II
Director Dr. Gary Ferguson II is originally from Sand Point, Alaska and lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Multnomah University and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from National College of Natural Medicine.
Dr. Gary currently serves as Board Director/Co-Chair of the Aleut Foundation, Board Director for the Alaska Food Policy Council, past Chair American Lung Association in Alaska Leadership Council, and past President Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Other volunteer positions include serving on the Steering Committee of Alaska Tobacco Control Alliance, and the American Diabetes Association American Indian/Alaska Native Advocacy Committee.
His term expires in 2019.
Secretary/Treasurer Debra Mack is originally from Sand Point, Alaska, and currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband.
Debra served on the Aleut Corporation Board of Directors from 1998-2012, TAC Chair from 2004-2006 and 2011-2012. She has an Associate degree from University of Alaska and studied business at University of Alaska.
Her term expires in 2019.
Elary Gromoff Jr.
Director Elary Gromoff Jr. lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
He has a Bachelors of Science, Engineering Management, 1972; Engineer-In-Training Certificate, Project Management, 1973; and is pursuing his Master’s degree.
Elary has been The Aleut Corporation: President, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Lands Committee member, Policy Committee member, Fisheries Committee member and Director, 1995-2013. Tanadgusix Corporation: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Director 1993-1999 and 2007-present, Lands/Resource Committee member, Audit/Investment Committee member and Bylaw Committee member.
His term expires in 2018.
Director Stanley Mack is originally from King Cove, Alaska and currently lives in Sand Point with his wife Christine.
Stanley served on the Aleut Corporation Board of Directors in its formative years in the early 70s and on the REAA school board during its formation. He is very familiar with grass roots efforts and the implementation of new missions.
Stanley was the mayor of the City of Sand Point in the early 90s and, since 2002, is the mayor of the Aleutians East Borough. He is a lifelong commercial fisherman and continues to fish each summer.
His term expires in 2017.
Director Vincent Tutiakoff Sr. graduated from Chemawa School in Oregon.
Vince’s experience includes former Chairman, CEO, and President of the Aleut Corporation; and Chairman, President, and Land Manager of the Ounalashka Corporation. He is the Roads/Project Manager at Qawalangin Tribe in Unalaska.
Vince lives in Unalaska, Alaska with is wife Dottie.
